Versatile Equipment Ltd, the Authorised Bobcat Dealer for Greater London, Essex, West Sussex, East Sussex, Kent, and Surrey, has announced its appointment to represent Bobcat in two additional counties – Norfolk and Suffolk in East Anglia. The company has opened a new depot at Willow Grove Farm in Lakenheath, Suffolk, to serve the new area.

Lee Chater, Managing Director and co-owner of Versatile Equipment, expressed his excitement about expanding their territory as they celebrate their 20th anniversary. He highlighted their focused expertise in supplying compact loaders and attachments since their establishment in 2003, stating that they have gained significant experience in the Compact Equipment Market in the UK.

Barry Gass, Sales Director and co-owner of Versatile Equipment, acknowledged the success they have achieved as a Bobcat dealer in the last 30 months. He expressed delight in taking on a larger area and assured customers in Norfolk and Suffolk that the new depot in Lakenheath would provide them with a premium service.

Andrew Wolton, District Manager UK South, Sweden & Finland for Doosan Bobcat EMEA, explained that Versatile Equipment was an obvious choice for the expanded responsibility based on their accomplishments as a Bobcat dealer. He commended the impressive facilities at the new Lakenheath branch, which include excellent storage, service, and showroom spaces.

To celebrate the opening of the Lakenheath depot, Versatile Equipment hosted a two-day Open Day event in July 2023. The event featured live demonstrations of Bobcat equipment, allowing visitors to experience the latest mini-excavators, compact loaders, telehandlers, and compact tractors. Additionally, attendees had the opportunity to explore the wide range of Bobcat attachments available from Versatile Equipment.

Versatile Equipment is dedicated to increasing Bobcat’s market share in various sectors such as construction, rental, agriculture, landscaping, industrial, and waste management. They offer sales of the entire Bobcat range, genuine accessories and parts, as well as a substantial stock of brand new, Certified Used, and second-hand Bobcat machines. Lee Chater highlighted Versatile Equipment’s rental fleet, which includes a vast selection of attachments to increase machine versatility. All machines in the hire fleet are under three years old, fully certified, and undergo a thorough Pre-Delivery Inspection.

In recent years, Bobcat has expanded its product portfolio in Europe, introducing compact wheel loaders, small articulated loaders, the new R-Series telehandlers, and compact loaders. The company will soon launch a new range of compact tractors and mowers. Specifically, the Bobcat R-Series telehandler range includes 21 models with Stage V engines, catering to both agriculture and construction. The range also features skid-steer loaders, compact track loaders, mini-excavators, and light compaction machinery.
